Looking for a good read this summer? The Center library has many complete series to expand your horizons. Two of my favorites are the Zion Covenant and the Zion Chronicles by Bodie (and Brock) Thoene (pronounced Tay-nee). The Zion Covenant follows the pre World War II struggles of a Jewish musician and each book title in the series has a musical name. Even though these books were written after the first series, I suggest you start with it since the time frame is first. The Zion Chronicles tells the story of the founding of the modern nation of Israel after World War II. Well researched, these novels are historical in that they reflect real events and even true characters that are woven into the storyline. It is an amazing story and I promise that you will not want to stop reading once you start!
