Hi, my name is Trevor McCalmont, I am married 10 years to my wife Jordyn, and we have 3 children who attend the school. I have a background in banking, but prior to that I worked in the Golf industry based on a sports management degree I earned at California University of Pennsylvania.
I am now teaching physical education classes and will be coaching sports offered at the school, I organize the sports as well as athletic director. I also am the coordinator of the garage, work in support staff and help with marketing.
My teaching philosophy revolves around learning teamwork, integrating different skills into a team atmosphere and creating an environment in which students can do their best. Teaching is an opportunity to get to know a student on a personal level and find ways for them to grow and develop their character. I believe students grow exponentially physically, emotionally and spiritually in these few years we are available to them. I believe as a coach and teacher we can work together to develop those things according to God’s word and His plan for their lives.
I am thankful for the opportunity to work with students through health and wellness, athletics and classes and the opportunity to utilize it as a ministry.
I also am excited for the opportunity to keep our transportation department running. This gives us more opportunity to drive and take students and community members to different places and experience God’s creation.
