A Little About Me....
I am originally from this area, but we moved to Montana for five years. We returned in March 2021, due to family health issues. I have a wonderful husband, a daughter, and two adorable Yorkie dogs. We enjoy spending time together as a family going to the movies, hiking, fishing, spending time outdoors, and spending time together and with extended family. When we have some individual time for ourselves, I enjoy reading a good book, watching a movie, and taking my dogs for a walk.
Education.....
I attended University of Phoenix for my Associates and Bachelor degrees in Elementary Education. I began this journey when my daughter was three years old from June 2010 to December 2013. I always wanted to become a teacher, but life changed my course prior to pursuing my education. Recently, I returned to Liberty Univeristy to acquire my Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2018.
Experience...
I, officially, began my teaching career in Champion Christian School for Middle Schoolers for two years. Then, God called me to Montana to work on Fort Belknap Indian Reservation as a fourth grade teacher, where I taught for three years. Next, I worked on a Hutterite Colony (Anabaptist group) as a one-room school teacher for kindergarten through ninth grades for all their subjects for a year and three quarters, unitl my mom fell ill. Each of these experiences prepared me for service and teaching. I have been, seen, and done many things that I never knew existed from each of these experiences. For example, I was able to attend several Powwows, help build a teepee, made a winter count, attended rodeos, gold panned, spoke several new languages (not fluently, but learned), and had several adventures. I, also, taught in diverse classrooms from children who have different backgrounds, home lives, experiences, and cultures. I, currently, teach the first grade classroom at Champion Christian School.
