Professionally...

I was a part of the founding of the Center in 1981 because of a passion to see the Christian community provide distinctly Christian services in a world where families are really struggling. My career has been focused on developing theacademic degrees organization to contribute to this effort of helping families and children in a truly biblical way with professional services.

My undergraduate degree is in Child Development from the University of Pittsburgh. My Master's degree is in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College, and my Doctoral degree is in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA as well as having educational certifications in Early Education, and an All-Levels Principal Certificate as well as serving as an adjunct professor in several Christian higher education institutions. I am also involved in bringing a Christian World View to public policy as it relates to Christian Education, Counseling, Human Services, and the family. If interested in reading more about my background and experience you can read my Professional Vitae here.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor in PA, I work with individual clients and families to help them Experienceovercome the difficulties that are challenging them in the areas of mental health. At Christian Counseling Services, we help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, marriage work, adolescence, autism, codependency, blended families, parenting, trauma, spiritual issues, children, and other issues to help people work toward healthy living and becoming all that God has designed them to be.

If interested, you can read my dissertation research entitled, "The Effects of Training, Level of Religious Commitment, and Perceived Roadblocks on the Integration of Spirituality into Psychotherapyā€¯ here.

As the Administrator of Champion Christian School, I am committed to helping provide Christian education to all ages from early education to post graduate education at the college level. I was the first preschool teacher at the Center in 1981, and now continue as a CCS faculty member as a dual-credit instructor (CCS classes offering both high school and college credits) to our students and others. I enjoy working with families and students on a regular basis. In addition, as a part of that work, I am involved in public policy in terms of advancing the mission of Christian Counseling and Education in our culture at the state and national level. If you would like, you can read more about my Philosophy of Christian Education here.

Personally...

I live in Champion, Pennsylvania with my wife Barb who is the development director at the Center. We have three daughters. Our oldest, Sarah, is a graduate of Taylor University in Indiana and works for the Commonwealth of PA. Our middle daughter, Danah, is a graduate of Malone University in Ohio and is a head teacher at CCS and works in the elementary department. Our youngest, Amy, graduated from Messiah University in Grantham, PA and is working in the field of technology marketing at Google in Pittsburgh.  I love to hunt, play golf, and spend time with my family. The Lord has blessed us tremendously in both our professional and personal lives.
