Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF)

Description of Annual Events

Homecoming Picnic/Bonfire

In September we invite our alumni back to CCS as we host a homecoming soccer game on Harr Field at our North Campus. During the game our seniors are recognized on the field. Following the game we will join in fellowship with a covered dish picnic and bonfire. Bring family, friends, and a covered dish. Volunteers to assist in set up and clean up will be greatly appreciated. This is a great family event for everyone at the Center.

Bus Driver Appreciation Days

We take time during Bus Driver Appreciation Week in October to honor our school drivers. We really appreciate the important job they do for us! We need parent volunteers to greet the drivers each of these three days and to serve them breakfast and treats. We also encourage our students to show their appreciation to their drivers in some small way.

Christmas Caroling

Although this event is designed to bring joy to others, as a caroler you will find that you will be the one who is blessed. In December we travel by bus to local nursing homes and shut-ins to sing Christmas carols. After caroling hot chocolate and cookies are served to all participants at North Campus. We will be looking for a few volunteers to help with refreshments. We also need lots of cookies!

Snow Tubing

Occasionally we enjoy one of the two area tubing parks for a time of fun and fellowship. Invite your family and friends to experience an exhilarating evening of snow tubing.

Ice/Roller Skating

We often book an evening in January and/or February at Latrobe skating ring, or The Ice Mine located 3 miles southwest of Connellsville and/or Hot Shots in Mount Pleasant.  You may volunteer for this event by helping to plan it or assisting at the rink those evenings.

Faculty/Staff Appreciation Days

The staff and faculty at Champion Christian School is one of the most dedicated groups of people you will ever meet. They are committed to serving you sacrificially and with love throughout the year. During Staff Appreciation Week in May we show our love and gratitude for their work. Volunteers are needed to plan and execute this week of appreciation.

 Fine Arts Festival

You will be blown away by the incredible art and music talent displayed at this event! It is held annually at our North Campus in Donegal in May. Volunteers are needed to donate and/or serve refreshments.

  Pirate Baseball Game

In the spring we attend a Pirate game as a group. Bussing will be available. The game date will be announced when the new seasons schedule has been set.

Christian Coffee House:  Throughout the year, the PTF helps host Christian Coffee houses.  We provide refreshments while local Christian bands from nearby churches and solo performers provide live Christian music.

Christian Movie Nights

Are you tired of all the garbage the media is trying to sell us as entertainment? We are looking for a volunteer to help plan and execute the showing of wholesome family films. These will be shown at North Campus (we would like to do this at least monthly). We may also rent out a theater and invite local church groups to join us for appropriate movies being released this year.

More help is needed to offer more community and school based activities:
