Professionally... I am a graduate of Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. I have a degree in secondary education with a double major in French and English, with a minor in social studies and education. I have taken graduate courses from both Marshall and Ohio University. Besides administration, I teach up to French IV, and Advanced Placement classes in English Literature and Composition. I have been a teacher at Champion for the last sixteen years, eleven of which I have been the principal; and I have been privileged to see the high school program grow tremendously. I feel very blessed to be a part of the lives of the young people here, and to help them find God's plan for their lives. Personally... I am married to Doug Kerin who is a retired economist, businessman, and a Princeton alumnus. We have seven children who are all grown. We attend the Connellsville Presbyterian Church where I have served as an elder and my husband is a trustee and auditor. We were all avid tennis players and some of our children played in college. My husband and I have played amateur age-group tournaments all over the United States. We coach tennis here attempting to incorporate a distinctive Christian worldview to our students through team participation. We try to instill a love of the game in the students in order to develop a well-rounded student who is mature spiritually, emotionally, academically, physically, and socially. Resume: I am currently certified to teach English and French. I also teach Advanced Placement Language and Composition, and Literature and Composition. I have a public school certification from the state of West Virginia and private school certification in Pennsylvania. I am also certified by the Association of Christian Schools International. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: August 1994 to Present
