Professionally... Everyone likes to think that they are personally making a difference in the world around us. I cannot remember wanting to be anything other than a teacher. I have chosen to serve in the realm of Christian Education because I believe that we need God in every aspect of our daily life. I cannot imagine teaching any subject without including the evidence that He cares for us. I have never been able to accept that it is pleasing to God for us to separate learning about our world into an educational system that does not include teaching children about Him. I believe we are accountable for the way we chose and teach our children to live. My relationship with Christ is more than what I believe and what I say to others, it is a way of life. I am privileged to have the opportunity to teach in a school that can rejoice in God's plan for every child, both present and future. Personally... I was raised in
Michigan and moved to this area with my husband and daughter in
1989. Our greatest desire was for our daughter to have the
opportunity to receive a Christian Education. We currently reside
in Ligonier, and our daughter attends Waynesburg University. Elise
graduated from CCS in 2007 and was the recipient of both academic and
service scholarships. We attend Harvest Community Church in
Bullskin, where I serve in leadership as a chairperson of the women's
prayer ministry.
