Community Events at the Center An important community focus for the ministry of the Center is offering activities for community fellowship and education. Our commitment to the area is to help provide different activities and continuing educational opportunities that allow people to grow and develop in ways that build their relationships and their faith. Some of the opportunities are identified in each of the linked areas below:Community TripsThe Christian Family & Children's Center has aquired a coach bus. The coach bus is not for hire but instead used for Center sponsored events. Please click the link above to see the current trips that the Christian Family & Children's Center has coming up As a part of the ministry of Champion Christian School and the Center families, church groups and community members are encouraged to attend the various activities that are designed to provide networking opportunities with each other and different Christian groups in the area. These activities are just plain old fun many times. Although some activities are provided for Champion Christian School families only, many are open to the community, alumni, and others who are interested! The PTF at Champion Christian School offers a variety of activities for friends and family of CCS and frequently extends the invitation to our community and church families. Click here to view Adult Continuing Education credits (CEUs) The Center provides ongoing training opportunities in which we offer Continuing Education Unit Credits. A variety of these adult opportunities are offered during the year. These activities are designed to challenge people to build their knowledge of the Bible, develop opportunities to examine current events in the context of Biblical truth, and to develop integrative strategies in their life. The Center annually sponsors a huge Christian book fair in conjunction with Good Steward Books from Columbus, OH. With literally a truck load of Christian books, the Center offers inhouse sales, community sales days, and takes books to churches for book fairs throughout the months of November and December. Books are sold at huge discounts and the profits are used to support the Center's Community Library. Westmoreland County Business List |
