presenter: Dr. Allyn Ricketts, Part Time College Professor, Senior Pastor

Allyn has a unique way of exciting and educating us about biblical truths, patterns and understandings in the context of being relevant to our lives. This course will give you an overview of what the Old Testament is about and participants will become familiar with the major people and events of the Old Testament as well as the major theological themes of the Old Testament. The goal is to grasp the world view presented in the Old Testament as this Hebraic-Christian world view is the foundation of western culture.

Participants will become familiar with the basic background and beliefs as well as the theological themes of the Old Testament, and develop a sense of overview of the Historical, cultural, and spiritual themes of the OT. The goal of this seminar is to be able to understand these in the context of the historic Christian faith and spiritual teachings of the Old Testament by attempting to catch the flow of Old Testament history. In the time we have we will look at the major themes and the main characters while attempting to see how each book fits into the history of the people Israel
