GOAL
Participants of this seminar will gain a better
understanding of communicating and defending essential Christian beliefs in
contemporary culture.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
In this seminar, we will look at questions Christians need to be familiar with in order to
understand and defend the faith against the contemporary culture. We will deal with the
issues of AThe Uniqueness of Christ,@ AThe Problem of Evil,@ APost Modernism and the Issue of Absolute
Truth,@ AThe Authority of Scripture,@ and AThe Relationship Between Faith and Reason.@
INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Allyn Ricketts has a Ph.D. in apologetics from Westminster Theological Seminary and a
M.Div. from Ashland Theological Seminary. A pastor for more than 25 years, Dr. Ricketts
has taught numerous seminars on modern religious movements and, along with his pastoral
work, teaches a world religions class at Washington and Jefferson College.
