JOB DESCRIPTION

     

POSITION: Maintenance Worker

     

SUPERVISOR: Center Director

     

SUMMARY:

     

          Maintenance Worker will be responsible for maintaining Center facilities in regard to safety, cleanliness, attractiveness, and efficiency; performing all tasks related to the maintenance and repair of equipment; performance of building renovation and construction; and demonstrate Christian principles in accomplishing these tasks. (II Timothy 2:1f, II Timothy 3:15-17)

     

I. Qualifications:

 

A. Basic skills in the areas of cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and machinery functions.

     

            B. Must be immunized and in good health. (Leviticus 13:1-6)

     

C. Must be able to demonstrate the attributes of a positive Christian role model for people with which he/she comes in contact. (I Timothy 4:12f, Joshua 24:15)

         

II. Responsibilities:

 

            A.  Maintenance Worker will assist all workers doing tasks relating to the cleaning of classroom and program space .

            B.  Maintenance Worker will organize and implement spring and fall cleaning of program space, including, but not limited to washing walls, waxing floors, and shampooing carpets.

    

C . Maintenance Worker will perform seasonal tasks, including, but not limited to trimming hedges, trees, mulching leaves, installing screens and storm windows, lawn fertilization, etc.

     

            D.  Maintenance Worker will assure snow removal in winter months for the trans versing of Center property.

     

            E. Maintenance Worker will assist in the lawn maintenance in the summer months.

          

            F.  Maintenance Worker will perform the tasks related to building maintenance and repair.

     

            G.  Maintenance Worker must work with Center Director to assure the efficient use of Center facilities.

     

            H.  Maintenance Worker will perform all tasks related to the effective operation of the Center.

            I.   Maintenance Worker will perform all tasks related to equipment repair and maintenance.

     

            J.   Maintenance Worker will abide by the policies and procedures as defined by the ICVCFCC Board of Directors. (Joshua 1:7f)

     

            K.  The position requires between 15 and 20 hours per week as scheduled by supervisor.

     

III. Evaluation:

     

            A.  Maintenance Worker will participate in a minimum six-month probationary period during which time he/she will receive two supervisory evaluations. After the successful completion of two three-month evaluations, he/she will participate in a formal evaluation procedure

every year thereafter.
