Insurance Payments for Counseling

Paying for Counseling can seem overwhelming.  However, if you think about it practically it is typically a shorter term financial commitment and it lessens over time.  Often counseling payments are covered by using Health Insurance.  The Center's counseling program does accept a variety of insurances.  When you call in, you can ask specifically about if your insurance is accepted. If you do not have insurance, we do have financial aid available.  See our sliding fee scale and the financial aid application at https://www.champion.org/counseling. This application can be turned in to Val Varesio at info@champion.org or to the office.

Currently the following insurances are accepted by the Center:  

Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield
UPMC
UPMC for You
Aetna
Medicaid 
Medicare (pending)

Please provide your insurance card to the office at your first session for billing purposes, along with your intake packet. If you are able to provide your insurance card and intake packet by email before your first session, please email it to counselingstaff@champion.org.
