Our ministry at the Center has many different needs in which you may be able to help. We always welcome people with specific skills who would be willing to share their time with us. Specifically, if you have talents and interests in the following areas, or if you know of anyone who does, please contact one of the trustee members. Church or other groups? We’d love to have your help. Would a group at your church be interested in taking one of these projects on as a mission? We will provide materials and supplies - what we need is someone willing to take on the project and finish it! You can work at your own pace and schedule, unless the project affects program space directly.

 

Projects Coming UP:

 

1. South Preschool Play Areas: Need to repaint some of our equipment and spruce it up.

ContactJen or one of the trustees if you are willing to help.

 

2. North Campus Play Areas: There are two swingsets that need put up for middle and high school students. These are made out of wood and needs made and we need some donated wood for it.

3. Pole Storage Building for materials built at the Garage. Built from telephone poles, this building protects some of our equipment and snow removal equipment and materials from the weather. We are looking for workers to help with this project put on the gray vinyl siding. Contact Leonard Chattaway or Merle Skinner to help with this.

4. We are hoping to be able to find some donors for trees to be planted along the Eastern Edge of Harr Soccer field which will provide some shade for our events down there. Would you be willing to provide a tree and/or help us plant them?

 

Here are some of the other areas in which we need assistance:

 

SOUTH CAMPUS - Indian Head

 

 1. Outdoor Work

    a. Work on playground equipment (both Elementary and Preschool) Staining, and painting

    b. Build additional piece for the elementary program

 

2. Painters to do rooms and hallways (at both campuses)

3. Landscaping Work, flowers (perennials)

4. Center Logo painted on front of building

 

ATHLETIC FIELDS/GROUNDS

 

1. Concession Stand Landscaping

2. Bleacher Area needs some fill and grass planted on Soccer Field as well as chainlink fence installed along lower west area

3. Helping to get pressured water to the North End of the field

4. Landscaping Work, flowers, mulch, weeding

5. Build a Pavilion Area on Harr Field.

 

NORTH CAMPUS - Donegal

 

1. Continue to Install Outdoor Lighting Along Road

2. Swing-set for play area installed as well as storage building for materials

3. Industrial Kitchen Supplies/Equipment-walk in freezer door & compressor unit & coolers and

           building an island for the kitchen

4. Paint selected Rooms

5. Storage area (8x8) built for greenhouse and environmental science areas.

6. Environmental Trails developed

 

MAINTENANCE BUILDING - Donegal

 

1. Pole Building storage area built for garage maintenance needs sided!

2. Hand Tools collected for donation for maintenance work and garage work

3. Landscaping (Railroad) Ties and Materials

 

OTHER WORK/Needs

 

1. Billboard installed

2. Large Tent(s) for events

3.Technology Needs: Dual Processor or better Computers; flatscreen monitors; Smart Boards,

          laptops, digital projectors

4. Library Books: Special focus areas; Christian based or other appropriate fantasy and books with imagination focuses; and volunteer workers!

5. Donated landscaping stones for building edging

6. Vehicles to be donated either for Center use or for sale
