Champion Christian Middle School Bible Festival Guidelines

 

 


 

 

 

Parents are welcome to attend the festival.

 

Topic: Each middle school student will choose a topic from the Bible such as an event or an individual.

Your topic must be approved by your Bible teacher.


Visual: There must be a visual aspect to the presentation.

 

Some suggestions are: a drawing, a painting, a diorama, a Powerpoint or Prezi production, etc. This should be approved by your Bible teacher.

 

A project fair board (tri-fold) is permitted.

 

Students may choose to make an outfit of the dress of their character's time.

 

Graphics/visuals must be large enough for a group to see easily.

 

Video clips (Such as a New Testament Drama like Matthew) are permitted

with approval, but may not be counted in the time of the oral presentation.

 

Drawings should be large and noticeable effort put into them.


Oral: The oral presentation should be no shorter than 4 minutes or no longer than 5 minutes. Your oral presentation should include an explanation of your visual aid and an explanation of your Bible passage.


Scripture: Scripture is important and must be included in both the oral and written presentations.


Written: Included in your written presentation should be:

A) A section explaining why you chose that scripture

B) An explanation of the time, culture and individuals involved

C) What is the message for mankind today?

D) What is the message for you in your daily life?

 

Length of Written Paper: The written presentation may be typed (double spaced) or handwritten neatly (single spaced). Length requirements are: 3 pages for 7th and 8th grades and 2 pages for 5th and 6th grades.
