This year the high school will be taking a mission trip to
Santiago, Dominican Republic. The dates for the trip are March 11 to 17, 2017. We will be working with Dr. Seth Cohen and
Santiago Christian School, (see their website: www.scs.edu.do)
Dr. Cohen is a friend and college of Dr. Skinner and Santiago Christian is one
of the top schools in the Dominican. Our
students will have the opportunities to work with native Dominican students who
are at the school that are very similar to our students. They will also get to work a population of
the DR which is an emerging nation. The
Dominican does give the students a safe experience with a third world –
emerging culture. This could be a trip
of their lifetime for the students. We
are encouraging everyone to look and pray about this important opportunity carefully.
While there we will be doing a combination of construction and ministry
programs with schools and churches. Our
ministry programs will focus primarily on children with puppets, drama, teaching,
music and sharing.
We are taking a community trip in the summer back to the DR
on July 25- August 1st. Email us at info@champion.org if you are
interested in attending that trip. This is specifically for
people who love missions OR have never been on a missions trip before
and want to experience this type of work for the Kingdom!
