Overview:

 

Who:  Any international student with appropriate visa may attend.  This camp is open to students who are attending any school or who are just wanting to come to this camp for the 10 to 14 day period.

 

Camp Date: TBD based on group interest.  The Center often works with agencies and international schools.

 

Cost: TBD based on trip itinernary which will includes accommodations, instruction, and all tours.  Please email at info@champion.org for additional information.  Group discount applies for five or more students together.   

 

Registration Fee: Will be required to hold a spot in the program upon approval from CCS. This is not refundable (unless not accepted into program), but is transferable to another camp attendee. The fee would be returned if for any reason the camp is cancelled on the part of the Center.

 

Length of Camp: This is a 10 to 14 day camp. The middle weekend will be a trip to New York City, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD, and Harrisburg, PA. 

 

Camps Can Include: ESL support (but this is not an ESL Program) and other historical and cultural instruction throughout each week as well as educational and cultural activities. Specific activities will vary according to weather but may include White Water Rafting on the Yough River, Pittsburgh city trips such as museums, Science Center, and theaters.  We work with a variety of camps to include some days of camping.

 

Regional Historical Trips: Such as the world famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, and Kentuck Knob, and historical Fort Pitt built in 1759.

 

Local trips: Hiking, swimming, tennis, nature centers, local four season resort activities.

 

Host Family Arrangements: Students will stay with local Christian families and be a part of their activities when they are on Campus at CCS, but depends upon the trip design.  It can include evenings and church arrangements during the week. (Maximum: 2 students in a home.)

 

Meals: Will be supplied by host families or school lunch program when not eating at restaurants. Students need personal spending money for souvenirs and personal items.

 

Maximum Camp size: A maximum of 40 students divided into appropriate developmental groupings as appropriate.  

 

Student Requirements: Prepaid tuition, appropriate tourist or educational VISA, travel expenses covered, application with deposit which is required upon acceptance, and international health coverage while in the United States.

 

Students on F-1 Visas: Those students who have F-1 visas for Champion Christian School or other schools may come on their current visa and then go directly to their schools from here. Host families will facilitate travel arrangements for the students.
