Dear Friend,

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the people who will benefit from your ministry with us, I want to thank you for your willingness to share of your time and talents.

We count ourselves blessed to be having the Lord speak to us through you. We appreciate your enthusiasm and willingness to serve the Lord in this way. The staff will be praying for your visit with us.

We are committed to assuring that things presented at the Center are coming from a Christian world view. Please make sure that you have discussed the perspective of your position with a staff member to assure that your perspective is consistent with the Centers.

May God richly bless your ministry among us.

Sincerely,

D. Merle Skinner, Executive Director

Christian Family and Childrens Center

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Center has been founded by the Lord and is dedicated to His glory. The following Statement of Faith has been adopted by the Board of Directors, which represents what we believe:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Deity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, and His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Chapel Guidelines

1. Someone speaking in chapel must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, and affirm the Center’s statement of Faith.

2. The goals of the Guest Speaker Chapel are to:

         A. Provide different people for the Lord to speak to the student body at Champion Christian School.

         B. Allow the student body to see various speakers, and the individual ways the Lord is working and has worked in their lives.

         C. Allow the Lord to uniquely minister to the student body through the particular talents, experiences and gifts of the various presenters.

         D. Expose students to a variety of distinctly Christian perspectives within the context of the Christian community.

What you should expect from us

a. Our prayers that God will bless you and your ministry.

b. Clear and concise instructions as to when, where and to whom you are to speak or sing.

c. The proper supplies, equipment and/or materials previously agreed upon for your presentation.

d. Clarification of such items as transportation, meals, lodging and remuneration as they are appropriate.

e. Our complete cooperation in other areas where it is possible for us to assist you.

What we will expect from you

1. Your prayers for our meeting and for our members to whom you will be ministering.

2. Your promptness in meeting our time schedule and staying within the limits assigned to you.

3. Your professional appearance and conduct in keeping with the occasion.

4. Your cooperation in recognizing that as an interdenominational ministry it would be unethical for us to:

provide you with an arena to criticize certain Christian personalities

to promote certain doctrinal distinctive about which there is an honest difference of opinion among believers(e.g., eternal security, speaking in tongues, five-point Calvinism and similar issues). These are proper items for serious discussion among believers. However, unless you were invited to speak on these matters, this is not the proper arena in which to do so.

5. We hold to a creationist viewpoint .

6. We oppose the humanistic approach to education, counseling and human service.
