CCMS Speech Meet

        The annual CCS Speech Meet is in February. The students will begin choosing their pieces to present just before Christmas vacation. Plan on studying the piece a bit each evening. Before bed is an ideal time to read over it. The following are important things to know about Speech Meet...

        *Memorization only! No notes, cards, or reading.

*Minimal prompting will be given. Excessive prompting takes off points.

        *Students must have their speeches approved by a teacher!

        *Speech length requirement: 3-5 minutes.        

        *No children's literature reading, Bible reading, or puppet skits unless they

          are memorized.

        *Skits are allowed if balanced between partners and memorized.

*Each piece chosen must be a published work. No Internet writings.
