End of Year Field Trip

In May of each year, the CCS Middle School faculty and students attend a special overnight field trip. This year, we visited the Inner Harbor area of Baltimore, Maryland.  All of our students and staff attended the trip, as well as several parents.

Our first stop after arriving in Baltimore was an exciting visit to the National Aquariam.  We spent about three hours there viewing the awesome and educational displays of God's marvelous creation.  Next, we walked to Pier Five, and boarded the USCC Taney, a retired Coast Guard ship, where we spent the night.  Here we learned much about the exciting history of the ship.  We also got a little bit of an idea what it was like for the men who served our country aboard the USCC Taney.

On Friday, we traveled to Fort McHenry and toured the historic fort where "The Star-Spangled Banner" was penned during the War of 1812.  Our final activity was a "ducky" tour of the sights and sounds of the city of Baltimore.

We thank the Lord for beautiful weather and a safe and thoroughly enjoyable field trip.
