Each year a spelling bee is held for grades 4-8 at our North Campus. All students are required to participate in this event. Spelling Word Study Lists are given to each student in January for them to practice at home. Teachers also have practice spelling bee sessions in their language arts classes.
The first place winner of the CCS Spelling Bee is invited to attend the Scripps National Spelling Bee through the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
Spelling Bee 2025 winners are:
1st Place Aleena Reed 6th Grade
2nd Place AJ Zelasko 6th Grade
3rd Place Eli Dean 7th Grade
Aleena Reed represented CCS in the next level of competition.
