Dear Kentucky Christian School Community,

As some of you might know, a group of House Republicans are fighting hard to prevent the HB 350 (Scholarship Tax Credits) from even getting a vote in 2020; it is STUCK in the House in spirt of a supermajority because some republican legislators refuse to act in bringing it to a vote. We are at a real risk of losing this legislation if it doesn't pass this year and are asking why some people can't have a choice when their choice isn't public education? In spite of meetings, polling data, and personal visits, they won't move unless you as their constituents move. Kentucky families deserve to know where their lawmakers stand on Scholarship Tax Credits.

WE NEED YOU TO CONTACT YOUR LEGISLATORS TODAY AND TELL THEM TO PUSH FOR A VOTE FOR House Bill 350, and then to SUPPORT this legislation.

  • 62% of Kentuckians from across party lines support Scholarship Tax Credits.

  • A projected 7000 students would benefit from this legislation (just over 1% of the 648,369 students enrolled in public education throughout the state). Some of these students may be kids who attend your school or who would be able to attend with help of the tax credits!

  • With a total education budget of over $5 Billion ($5,081,677,452), the credit would amount to less than 1/2 of 1% of the state budget.
Please contact your representatives AND senators (who will now be considering the budget and could add Scholarship Tax Credit legislation into the mix) today and let them know you want a vote on HB 350!

You can contact your legislators at 1-800-372-7181 or by using the Voter Voice Action Center to send them a message (we encourage you to do both!)

We are hosting a webinar for anyone who would like to learn more about this issue to help organize others in these last minute efforts to assure that this legislation passes. The webinar will be held this Friday, March 13 @ 1:00 pm. Use the following link and meeting ID# to attend the meeting and learn what you can do to help!

Note: If you are a school leader or the leader of another church or group, please send this to your community at large ASAP.

Blessings,
